Meet Nate

Education.

Nate Kennedy earned his Bachelor of Arts at Saint John’s University. During college, he worked for the local fire department, and was promoted to captain during his junior year. Through these experiences, he learned to quickly respond when it mattered most.

Nate continued his education at Northern Illinois University, where he earned his JD (magna cum laude) and MBA from the Colleges of Law and Business, respectively.

But his education did not stop as a student - it evolved when he became a teaching assistant for an undergrad business law course at Northern Illinois University. Here, he found an extra layer of understanding that propelled him into the legal profession.

Nate is an experienced attorney and has been licensed in the State of Minnesota since 2022. He is committed to respect, hospitality, and stability.

In the Fall of 2025, Nate joined the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse, where he teaches undergraduate business law. When asked why he rekindled his teaching career, Nate replied, “Providing legal education is key to understanding the law’s impact, both now and in the future.”

For clients, that knowledge is a powerful tool to plan for the unexpected. The unique balance between the classroom and legal practice keeps Nate fresh, current and humble.

In the Spring of 2026, Nate established NK Law PLLC. His goal is simple - to provide accessible, quality legal representation. He is ready to warmly welcome all.

In his spare time, you can find Nate with the Rochester Caledonian Pipe Band, fly fishing on Trout Run, exploring local parks, or training for Birkie #6.
